Lili Di Prima is a graphic designer who lives in Palermo, Italy with her son and husband. Her love for vintage family photos and vector illustration led her to set up shop on Etsy taking custom family portrait orders which she then sells as prints.

We asked Lili about her work, how it's been going and how she first came to the idea.

How long have you been making and selling custom portraits? How did it all start?

It all started as a bit of fun when I designed portraits of my own family. I published the images on my social media profile, and my friends really loved them! So, I decide to draw my friends too..., then my friends friends. That then led me to create my shop on etsy.

Do you get many requests to feature people's pets?

Yes! Lots of people ask for their family portraits to include their cats and dogs and I think that the quirky style of my portraits makes them quite humorous. People really love their pets and and see them as an important part of the family - it's only fair that they should be included!
