"Before I adopted Poppy, she lived on the streets. This caused a lot of anxiety about exploring outside and at the beginning unknown sounds in the house. Even though she was timid, I could see the spark of curiosity in her eyes. She would look up at me and it was as if she was asking “is this okay mom?”. After three years she’s grown so much in confidence and is comfortable to walk around outside with me by her side.
