Loewe has recently debuted their SS26 pre-collection inspired by Louis Wain’s feline art (another Wain aficionado), and there is a certain Puss-in-Boots, shopping for the Snow Queen’s Ball…it’s fair to say cats are having a moment. Rightly so. The Vermillion Collar is handcrafted from responsibly sourced salmon skin - a luxurious leather (Squama®) prized for its natural scale pattern and sustainable credentials, made from a by-product of the restaurant industry. It has been seen in items from the likes of Alexander McQueen and Zadig & Voltaire. In a striking salmon red colour, the collar is finished with a 24k gold-plated buckle and stitched edge, making it the ultimate statement wear for a cat to match the catwalk strides of their luxe-loving owner.
